Employment Contract

It’s important that your employment contracts protect your business and your staff. An employment contract cannot provide for less than the legal minimum set out in the National Employment Standards (NES) awards, enterprise agreements or other registered agreements that may apply. Businesses often have a standard employment contract or letters of offer that they send to their new employees. Generally, these documents will cover the most obvious aspects of employment, e.g. wages, duties and leave entitlements. However, if these haven’t been properly drafted in the first place, they can cause a major headache later on.
